Stephan Neumair C.C.C.

is dedicated to providing a compassionate and personalized approach to counselling and supporting adults, adolescents, and youth aged 12 and up.

With a welcoming attitude towards individuals of all genders, identities, and cultural or spiritual backgrounds, he is passionate about helping clients navigate challenges related to anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, and self-esteem. He incorporates humour therapy into his sessions, recognizing its proven effectiveness in alleviating stress and enhancing well-being. Additionally, Stephan is developing an innovative RPG-based method for families, individuals, and couples to improve their communication and problem-solving skills.

Stephan integrates a diverse array of therapeutic techniques to create tailored treatment plans, including:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Mindfulness practices and the

Gottman Method for couples therapy.

He is also committed to ongoing professional development, holding specialized certifications in:

  • Gottman Method Level 2
  • GBA+ (Gender-Based Analysis Plus) from Women and Gender Equality Canada
  • CBT and ACT certificates from Udemy
  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)

Stephan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics/Psychology from the University of Alberta and a Master’s in Counseling from the City University of Seattle. Fluent in Spanish, German, Portuguese, and English, he has extensive experience working with clients from Canada, Europe, and Brazil.

Having moved to Canada permanently in 2014, Stephan has dedicated years to supporting clients through various problems, life transitions, and cultural adjustments.
